Xavi – Pass Completion

Xavi’s Masterclass

Possession is a huge part of modern-day soccer and there is no better team than Barcelona.

FC Barcelona midfielder Xavi provided a masterclass in ball retention last night against PSG in the Champions League, Completing 100% of his passes.

All young players should realize the importance of possession and should strive to be like Xavi, a world-class player and a great role model for all young players.

In your next game aim high, 100% completion.

Arsenal’s Issues – Where to start ?

Arsene-Wenger

This is the face worrying Arsenal fans. A tough few months for the Arsenal manager and his team, home supporters are turning on their team and their Manager – worrying times at Arsenal.

Defeat in the FA Cup to Blackburn was the first defeat in the FA Cup to lower league opposition under Wenger, this has come hot on the heels of a defeat to Bradford in the Capital One Cup, ending this week with a home defeat to the efficient Bayern Munich, outplayed and outclassed – men against boys, it highlighted many issues in the way Arsenal play.

With no trophy in 8 seasons Arsenal fans were hopeful this year.  Now it looks  like they are fighting for 4th position to regain a Champions League spot next season.

Arsenal’s currently sit 5th 4 points behind arch rivals Tottenham, their current league form is OK,  in the last 6 games 3 wins – 2 defeats – 1 draw. A win at Aston Villa this weekend would go a long way and boost the confidence of a frail team.

Over the past week I have read many articles as to Arsenal’s poor form, including what’s next for Arsenal? should Wenger leave ?

Stay@Home puts its own spin on things – The view from the couch, highlighting issues that are hindering Arsenal in their quest to win a trophy.

Champions League – Wednesday Predictions

Tuesdays Results and Stay@Home Predictions.

Not a great night for Arsenal 3- 1 defeat, will be tough test going to Germany overcoming a 2 goal deficit.  Bayern were efficiently German, a strong team performance.  Bayern looked like a team on a mission, having been in the final 2 out of the last 3 years, losing to Inter 2009/10 and Chelsea last year they look like strong contenders to reach the final for the 3rd time in 4 years.

The only bright spark for Arsenal, the fantastic Jack Wilshire, another fine display in Midfield.  Arsenal will have to fight for 4th position to see Champions League football next season.
